Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global inroads into the Latin pop culture. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 won a Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song in 2017. In Medellin the year of Medellin, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN the debut album of his long-playing career. In the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. In the following year, he collaborated with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca that climbed to number five on the Top Latin Albums chart. He was a part of the team alongside Noriel on Mala Influencia in 2020 and the following year came out with his second album, the chart-topping Dopamina. Later, in 2021, He sang a duet 2021 alongside TINI on her hit song Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was released in 2023. Turizo came from a musical household both his parents are both musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music is a must. When a young boy, he studied the saxophone and guitar. The first choice for his career was to be a veterinarian, but his brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he found his ability to sing and also changed the course his life.
